Communication

The Department of Communication negotiates in advance with its partners the number of students who can submit applications. Only students from universities that are partners with the Department of Communication can apply (university-wide agreements are not accepted).
Open programs
Only the Bachelor and the Master in Communication Sciences are open to exchange students. The number of places in the Master in Communication is very limited and a good level of English is required.
Closed programs
The DESS in Journalism and in Media, Culture and Technology are not open to exchange students.
English Studies (Literatures and Languages of the World)
If you are currently taking courses in English Studies at your home university, you will be prioritised in the selection process.
Language requirements
If your first language is not English, you must provide proof of B2 English proficiency. All types of language certificates are accepted; for example, a letter from home university, English level test of the British Council, etc.
Upon arrival, you must take an English placement test and may be asked to take an English language course depending on placement result.
French Language Literatures

Language requirements
If your first language is not French, you must provide a proof of French proficiency of C1 for the bachelor programs, and of C2 for the Graduate programs.
German Studies (Literatures and Languages of the World)
Language requirements
If your first language is not German, you must provide proof of B2 German proficiency. For courses in French, a B2 French proficiency is required. Prospective students can contact the Academic Advisor for any questions.
Information Science
Master in Information Science - School of Library and Information Science
Only students enrolled in an Information Science graduate program at their home university can take Master's courses in this program.
Linguistics and Translation
Language requirements
If your first language is not French, you must provide a TFI of 785/990 or a DALF or TEF of C1 for these programs:

- Bachelor in French Literature and Linguistics (114715)
- Master in Linguistics (218010)
- PhD in Linguistics (318010)
These programs require a DALF or TEF of C2 and an advanced level of English:
- DESS (master level degree) in Translation (218511)
- Professional Master in Translation (218511)
These programs require a DALF or TEF of C1 and an advanced level of English:
- Research Master in Translation (218511)
- PhD in Translation (318510)
Bachelor in French Literature and Linguistics (114715)
Students must take at least 2 Linguistics courses per term.
Minor in Arts and Sciences
The Minor in Arts and Sciences is a multidisciplinary undergraduate program in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. This program lets exchange students take undergraduate (bachelor’s- level) courses from several different programs of study within this Faculty (they must be authorized by the department offering the course).
